This year I attended Anarchapulco for the first time. The whole journey was just mind blowing. I met journalists I just knew from YouTube and generally a lot of anarchists. Well, it turned out that there were many leftist minded people, people who support communism and have a pretty naive point of view on society and politics. Generally speaking I would say there were a lot of hippies.

This got pretty obvious in the discussion between Larken Rose and Lauren Southern about Open Border policy. Some people in the audience and the painter who made this socialist looking fist painting next to the stage slandered Lauren as a racist for criticizing Islam when talking about migration problems in Europe. Quick reminder: Islam is not a race. Criticizm against Islam is not racist.

After their discussion people in the audience had the chance to ask both of them questions. I took the chance to ask which anarchist (!) solution they have for the migration crisis in Europe. Lauren had the perfect answer which also makes clear why Open Border policy is NOT anarchist:

"(...) One thing hat people don't realize is this open border policy that we can already see happening in Europe with the Schengen Zone is leading to more militarization, more government and far more government spending than ever before."

Since Europe opened its borders terrorism and criminality are on a record high. Many terrorist attacks happened, many women have been raped and murdered. Instead of protecting the border, European governments spent tax money on expansion of surveillance, armed forces within the cities and control of the internet. How anarchist is this?

Having borders is protecting one's property and generally one's freedom.
